In the Southwest region, the radar indicates scattered showers along the California coastline, particularly near Redding, providing some needed moisture relief. Reno is experiencing a dry day. From Salt Lake City down through Las Vegas and Phoenix, conditions remain clear with blue skies dominating the landscape.
Evening temperatures in Salt Lake City begin at a warm 96 degrees at 9 PM, gradually dipping to 82 degrees by 1 AM. Expect clear skies throughout the evening. Winds will shift from north-northwest at 7 mph at 9 PM to east-southeast at 8 mph by 1 AM. It’s a perfect night for stargazing under clear conditions.
Tonight, Las Vegas will experience a mild low of 61 degrees, while Phoenix stays warmer at 72. San Diego is expected to cool down to 65 degrees. Tomorrow in Phoenix, brace for a scorching high of 117 degrees, significantly above average for this time of year. Las Vegas isn’t far behind, expected to reach 111 degrees, marking a notably hot day for the city. In Bakersfield, temperatures soar to 99 degrees, while Fresno warms up to 98 degrees. San Diego will remain much cooler with a high of 84 degrees. San Francisco experiences a milder day at 66 degrees, showcasing the sharp temperature contrasts across the region.
A tranquil weather pattern over much of the Southwest persists into tomorrow. Expect abundant sunshine and warm temperatures in the desert areas, with highs reaching into the 90s and even pushing 100 degrees in spots like Phoenix and Las Vegas. Northern California, however, remains unsettled with intermittent rain showers extending through Wednesday. Watch for potential travel disruptions in the higher elevations due to wet and occasionally slick conditions.

Sunday: Another clear day, expect a high of 96 degrees with a low around 68 degrees. Monday: Continuing the trend of clear skies, with temperatures climbing to a high of 97 degrees and a low of 69 degrees.
