In today’s update, we focus on Miami’s steady evening temperatures and the isolated storm activities throughout the Southeast. From Jacksonville to Savannah, and stretching towards Miami, we provide a comprehensive overview of the storm patterns that could influence your daily activities. Essential safety tips and weather forecasts are included to ensure that you stay informed and prepared for the varied weather conditions. Tonight’s forecast includes light winds and partly cloudy skies, making it perfect for an evening stroll, but remember to stay vigilant as weather conditions may change.
The Southeast region is currently experiencing isolated storm activity, especially in areas near Jacksonville, where severe weather is evident, accompanied by rain moving towards Savannah. In northern Florida, near Tampa, significant cloud cover and scattered showers are observed, stretching towards coastal regions. Meanwhile, showers are becoming more concentrated over New Orleans as they travel eastward. The rest of the region, including Atlanta and Montgomery, remains relatively dry with patchy cloud cover.
This evening in Miami, temperatures will remain steady at 84 degrees from 9 PM through 11 PM, with a slight decrease to 82 degrees by 1 AM. Winds are expected to be light, coming from the east-southeast at 7 miles per hour initially, then shifting to the south-southeast at 4 miles per hour. Cloud cover will be partly cloudy throughout the evening, with calm and pleasant conditions.
Tonight, Memphis will dip to 74 degrees. Nashville and Montgomery can expect lows around 71. Jackson and Shreveport will see temperatures fall to 71 and 76 degrees, respectively. Meanwhile, Atlanta and Savannah will register lows of 71 and 75 degrees as we wrap up a warm evening across the Southeast.
Tomorrow, high temperatures in the Southeast will soar, with Atlanta reaching around 90 degrees. Memphis will also see warm conditions with a high of 90, while New Orleans will be slightly cooler at 88 degrees. In Florida, Tampa is expected to warm up to a sizzling 93 degrees, and Jacksonville is forecasted for 92. These temperatures are well above average for this time of year, influenced by a strong ridge of high pressure settling over the region.
Thunderstorms are moving across the Southeast with an active weather pattern. A cold front is pushing through, bringing rain from New Orleans extending into Montgomery and up to Atlanta, with potential for heavy downpours and damaging winds. As the front continues, expect storms to impact areas from Jacksonville to Savannah. While severe weather like isolated tornadoes is less likely, stay alert for sudden weather changes. Rainfall could amount to over an inch in places, leading to potential localized flooding concerns.
