On the Regional Radar, the Southeast is experiencing widespread rain, especially from Atlanta towards Jacksonville, as showers move across Georgia and northern Florida. Houston shows clearer skies at present, but Memphis is under cloud cover with potential for developing showers. New Orleans and Shreveport are also seeing increased cloudiness, likely leading to more rain as the front advances eastward. Savannah and Charlotte have patchy clouds with moisture building in the area, potentially bringing rain later in the day.

Skies will be mostly cloudy at first but transition to partly cloudy in the evening. By 8 PM, expect mostly sunny skies as the temperature cools slightly to 87 degrees.
Today’s high temperatures in the Southeast are soaring. Shreveport hits a notable 98 degrees while Houston reflects a somewhat cooler 93. Tonight, Memphis will cool down to 78 degrees. Nashville is expected to see a low of 74, while Atlanta will drop to 75. Further south, New Orleans will stay warm with a low of 79 degrees, and Miami will round out the night at 80 degrees. Overall, temperatures remain mild across the Southeast, with no significant drops observed.
Tomorrow, temperatures are heating up in the Southeast. Memphis expects a high of 97 degrees, while Nashville will reach 94. Jackson and Montgomery will both see highs around 96 degrees. Savannah will be very warm at 98 degrees, and Jacksonville is looking at 94 degrees. New Orleans is slightly cooler with a high of 92, but overall these temperatures are well above the July averages for the region as a broad high-pressure system continues to dominate the forecast.
A developing weather system will bring scattered thunderstorms across the Southeast, with severe storm potential increasing in eastern Mississippi and Alabama late in the day. Expect significant rainfall and gusty winds, particularly during the evening commute. Storm impacts could lead to flooding concerns, especially in low-lying areas. A cold front will bring a noticeable temperature drop by Wednesday, making for a cooler, more comfortable day. Stay alert for any severe weather updates as conditions evolve through the day.
