A swath of rain showers extends through southern Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, moving eastward toward New Jersey. Light to moderate rain is affecting areas from Scranton to the outskirts of New York City. The northern areas, including Albany and Burlington, remain clear with no precipitation. Sunny skies are expected to persist over northern New England, bringing pleasant conditions to Portland and Boston.
