On the Regional Radar, a strong line of severe storms is making its way across the Southeast, stretching from the Gulf Coast up through Georgia and into the Carolinas. These intense thunderstorms are sweeping through Jacksonville and moving northeast towards Savannah, bringing heavy rainfall and potentially gusty winds. Meanwhile, areas like Charlotte and Atlanta are currently covered with cloud cover as these storms approach. Farther west, in cities like New Orleans and Montgomery, conditions remain relatively clear, providing a break from the severe weather. Meanwhile, Tampa experiences a break, but more rain showers are headed its way. Keep those umbrellas handy across the region!
Tomorrow morning in Atlanta begins cool with temperatures starting at 40 degrees at 7 AM, gradually rising to 49 degrees by 11 AM. You can expect sunny skies throughout the morning with northwest winds at 16 miles per hour, offering a brisk start to the day. Perfect weather to enjoy the morning sun!
Highs for the Southeast region on March 17, 2025, are shaping up to be warm and pleasant, with many cities experiencing temperatures well above seasonal averages.
In Houston, expect a warm high of 81 degrees, while Shreveport could reach 80 degrees. New Orleans will enjoy a high of 72 degrees, and Jackson is forecasted to hit 70 degrees. Keep an eye on local alerts as the east coast experiences this weather shift, with rain providing some relief amidst fairly dry conditions previously. Temperatures will remain moderate throughout the day, cooling slightly by evening.”
