Montgomery and Jackson are catching a break from the rain, but clouds are starting to build. In Florida, Jacksonville is currently experiencing rain, but showers are clearing out to the south, allowing Tampa and Miami to enjoy drier conditions. Elsewhere, a mix of clouds and sunshine can be found across the Gulf Coast, keeping New Orleans and Houston relatively dry for now.

High temperatures for the Southeast region tomorrow are looking warm and above average in many areas. Atlanta will see a high of 65 degrees, with a warm breeze expected. In Memphis, temperatures reach 65 as well, keeping it pleasant for outdoor activities. Jackson is just slightly warmer at 69 degrees, reflecting a trend of higher-than-normal temps. Down south, New Orleans will warm up to 68 degrees, with a mix of sunshine and clouds. In Montgomery, Alabama, expect a high of 67 degrees. Over in Florida, Jacksonville should see a comfortable high of 67 degrees, while Tampa is looking at 70 degrees. Miami continues the trend of warmth, hitting a high of 73 degrees. Overall, the southeastern states are enjoying mild temperatures for this time of year, driven by a ridge of high pressure influencing the weather patterns across the region.
“On the futurecast for the Southeast, expect a blend of weather conditions as a system moves through. Tomorrow, Thursday, light rain showers are anticipated farther north, impacting areas from Charlotte to Atlanta by the afternoon. The cold front will drive these showers eastward, with Jacksonville to Savannah seeing precipitation by late afternoon. While severe weather is not the main focus, keep an eye on possible gusty winds. Temperatures will remain mild behind the system, making for a cool start to the weekend.”
The UV index in Miami will reach an extremely high level of 10 on both Thursday and Friday. This indicates a very strong risk of harm from unprotected sun exposure. The estimated burn time in direct sunlight is as short as 12 minutes. Use broad-spectrum sunscreen, sunglasses, and protective clothing to stay safe under these intense conditions.
