Across the Southern Plains, the regional radar remains quite clear for many areas, but there are notable weather activities to discuss. We have scattered rain showers over the vicinity of El Paso, reaching just south of Albuquerque. Dallas and San Antonio are enjoying dry conditions with clear skies prevailing. Farther east, a developing storm system is bringing scattered rain showers around the Little Rock area, and we’re observing this system stretching its influence toward Jackson. Up north, close to Kansas City, the radar shows heavier rain, signaling the beginning stages of a more concentrated weather system moving towards the northeast. In contrast, Oklahoma City and Midland are under clear skies, allowing for pleasant conditions without interruption. Meanwhile, the Gulf Coast near New Orleans is experiencing a few isolated showers.
In Austin, expect a mild start tomorrow morning with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures begin at 61 degrees at 7 AM, climbing to 63 degrees by 9 AM. By 11 AM, the temperature reaches 71 degrees. Winds will be gentle, coming from the north-northeast at 6 miles per hour early on, decreasing to 5 miles per hour and then easing to 4 miles per hour.

“Looking ahead to tomorrow for the Southern Plains, prepare for widespread rain showers stretching from Dallas to Corpus Christi, bringing some much-needed moisture. Oklahoma City is under the radar for stronger storms, so remain vigilant for potential severe weather alerts. With an unstable air mass and a cold front approaching, there are risks of severe weather extending through the evening into Wednesday. The eastern part of the region, including Little Rock and Jackson, could also experience severe thunderstorms. Be on the lookout for weather advisories as conditions progress.”
