The Southeast is experiencing a dynamic weather setup. A band of storms is progressing eastward from Shreveport, pressing into Jackson and New Orleans with moderate to heavy rain and possible thunderstorms. Areas around Memphis and Montgomery are encountering scattered showers, while Charlotte and Atlanta enjoy relatively calm weather with only light cloud cover. Coastal regions, including Savannah and Jacksonville, are basking in clear conditions, providing a pleasant respite from the rain. Houston sits at the edge of the storm activity, with rain slowly making its way across the region. Meanwhile, Miami and Tampa maintain a sunny disposition, unaffected by the current storm system.
Tomorrow morning in Atlanta, start your day with cloudy skies, transitioning to rain by 9 AM with temperatures rising from 62 degrees to 65 degrees. Winds will come from the south-southeast at 6 to 9 miles per hour. By 11 AM, expect thunderstorms with the temperature reaching 66 degrees and winds shifting south at 9 miles per hour.
For high temperatures tomorrow across the Southeast, we’re looking at a warm day with several cities reaching above-average readings.
In Houston, expect a high of 82 degrees.
Shreveport will see slightly warmer conditions at 83 degrees.
Moving east, Jackson is set to reach a sizzling 84 degrees.
New Orleans will also be warm with temperatures hitting 82 degrees.
In Alabama, Montgomery is forecasted for a high of 79 degrees.
Farther south, Jacksonville will see a high of 78 degrees, while Tampa is anticipated to be at 84 degrees.
Miami rounds it out with a pleasant 79 degrees.
Showers and storms are set to impact the Southeast tomorrow as a cold front moves through. Expect heavy rainfall from New Orleans to Montgomery, with potential for severe storms in these areas. By the afternoon, showers extend to Jacksonville and Savannah. As the front progresses farther east, be prepared for possible flood alerts due to intense downpours.
