On the Regional Radar, severe storms are sweeping across the Southeast, impacting areas from Jacksonville up towards Savannah. Montgomery is under heavy rain, with showers stretching west towards New Orleans. Atlanta is experiencing a mix of rain and thunderstorms moving in from the west. In Charlotte, rain showers are beginning to develop as the system advances. Tampa is on alert with a line of storms pushing northward into central Florida.
For this evening in Atlanta, showers are expected throughout the night with easterly winds at 11 miles per hour. Temperatures will remain steady, hovering around 59 degrees from 9 PM through 1 AM. Keep an umbrella handy as rain persists into the late hours.
Tonight in the Southeast, Memphis will cool down to 64 degrees, while Nashville sees a low of 63. In Jackson, the temperature will dip to 60, bringing some chilly air to the region. New Orleans will stay a bit warmer at 64 degrees. Temperatures will remain mild in the southern areas, with Tampa at 73 and Miami still at a balmy 79.
