Atlanta faces a dynamic weather week with varying forecasts of showers, sunshine, and the occasional thunderstorm as per Amy Freeze’s detailed outlook. The weather will shift from partly cloudy mornings to intense midday showers, accompanied by temperature fluctuations and potential flash flooding. Memorable days of warmth interspersed with rainfall offer a mixed bag for residents and visitors alike.
Severe weather is impacting the Southeast with strong storm cells moving from the Gulf toward Jacksonville and Savannah. Heavy rains are pushing through the Florida panhandle into Georgia, creating a line of intense showers extending toward Atlanta and Charlotte. Meanwhile, Shreveport and Jackson are experiencing lighter rain showers as clouds start to clear from the west. Montgomery and Nashville remain cloudy with rain on the horizon as the system moves northeast. Coastal cities like Tampa and Miami are experiencing heavy precipitation, emphasizing the need for caution with these severe conditions.
Tomorrow morning in Atlanta, expect showers to start your day with temperatures at 60 degrees by 8 AM. Winds will be from the east-northeast around 9 miles per hour. By 10 AM, the skies will be mostly cloudy with a slight temperature rise to 61 degrees, along with winds increasing to 10 miles per hour. Showers will return by noon, with temperatures reaching 63 degrees and winds continuing from the east at 11 miles per hour.
Tomorrow, the Southeast is looking at generally warm temperatures across the region. Atlanta will reach a high of 76 degrees, while Memphis could see a high of 74. In New Orleans, expect a warm 78 degrees, with Jacksonville slightly higher at 81. Miami is also on the steamy side with highs at 82 degrees.
A frontal boundary moves into the Southeast, bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms from Louisiana through Georgia. Memphis could see some stronger storms with heavy downpours and gusty winds. This system pushes east with storms expected to reach Atlanta and Savannah by early afternoon tomorrow. Temperatures ahead of the front remain warm but will drop slightly behind it. Flash flooding is a possibility with the potential for 1 to 2 inches of rain in some areas over the next 24 to 48 hours.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, the warmest day with a high of 88 degrees and a low of 70. Saturday: Finishing the week partly cloudy, with temperatures reaching a high of 83 degrees and a low around 66.
