It’s a clear day across much of the Southwest. Northern Nevada, around Ely, is experiencing some showers moving into Utah. Reno is seeing light rain. A cold front is dipping southward, bringing scattered showers to areas near Redding and spreading toward Eastern California. The rest of the region, including major cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco, enjoys clear skies.
Cloudy skies are expected this evening in Salt Lake City, with temperatures starting at 52 degrees at 9 PM. Winds will come from the west at 8 miles per hour. By 11 PM, anticipate partly cloudy conditions with temperatures dropping to 49 degrees and winds shifting to the south-southeast at 7 miles per hour. As the clock strikes 1 AM, the temperature will further decline to 47 degrees with partly cloudy skies, and a gentle southeast breeze at 5 miles per hour.
Expect Los Angeles to have a low of 53 degrees tonight, while San Diego cools down to 56. Bakersfield will experience a low of 56 degrees as well. Flagstaff is in for a brisk night at 29, and Ely will be quite frigid at 29 degrees. Las Vegas will remain milder at 60 degrees, but expect a significant drop compared to the heat of the day.
