Across the Southwest, the radar highlights a mix of weather conditions. A pocket of severe storms is currently sweeping across northern Nevada, impacting areas near Ely and even stretching toward Salt Lake City. The Sierra Nevada, especially near Reno, is experiencing scattered rain showers, offering a respite from typical dry spells. In Southern California, San Diego and Los Angeles are basking in clear skies, enjoying calm weather. Residents around Redding should be cautious—showers and a few isolated thunderstorms are on the horizon, moving southward.
Salt Lake City can expect a rainy start to tomorrow morning, with temperatures beginning at 49 degrees at 8 a.m. and cooling slightly to 47 degrees by noon. Winds will switch from WSW to WNW, maintaining a steady 9 miles per hour throughout the morning. Keep an umbrella handy as rain is likely to continue through these morning hours.
