A line of rain showers is streaming from Montgomery through Atlanta and extending towards Charlotte, bringing moderate precipitation to these regions. The radar also indicates some patchy rain moving away from Savannah towards the Atlantic Ocean. Western areas, including New Orleans, Houston, and Shreveport, are currently experiencing clear conditions under cloudy skies. Tampa and Miami are enjoying calm weather with no significant precipitation in sight. Overall, the Southeast’s weather is relatively stable, with some rain dispersed from Alabama into Georgia and the Carolinas.
Miami will see a warm afternoon with temperatures starting at 88 degrees at 4 PM. Winds will be coming from the south-southeast at 13 mph. By 6 PM, temperatures slightly dip to 87 degrees with winds at 14 mph and mostly sunny skies. As we move into the evening, expect partly cloudy skies with temperatures at 85 degrees and the wind shifting southward at 10 mph.
In the Southeast today, temperatures are reaching impressive highs. Jacksonville leads the pack with a warm 93 degrees, while Savannah follows closely at 91. Farther west, New Orleans is seeing a high of 82, providing a slightly cooler contrast to the eastern coastal areas. In North Alabama, temperatures are a bit more moderate with Montgomery hitting 87 and Huntsville observing a high of 82. Heading north, Memphis registers 84 degrees, while Jackson is slightly warmer at 86.
Tonight, Nashville will see a low of 53, while Atlanta remains relatively warmer at 60. Expect 64 degrees in Jackson and 65 in Montgomery. It’s a cozy night ahead for New Orleans at 73, and Miami will stay warm at 79, a stark contrast to the cooler inland temperatures.
Tomorrow Cities like Jacksonville and Tampa will reach highs of 92 degrees, while Miami isn’t far behind at 90 degrees. Montgomery and Atlanta will also see impressive temperatures, hitting 90 and 84 degrees, respectively. New Orleans is expected to warm up to 83 degrees, and Jackson will hit 89 degrees.
A developing weather pattern will impact the Southeast tomorrow. Expect mostly clear skies with some cloud cover moving into the Gulf Coast regions, including New Orleans and Houston, by late afternoon. An active front bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms will transition out of Texas into the eastern parts by morning, potentially affecting areas such as Montgomery and Jacksonville. There is a risk of severe thunderstorms, especially around the Florida Panhandle, characterized by gusty winds and heavy rainfall.
