The Southern Plains are experiencing mostly clear conditions overall, with a few exceptions. Rain showers are spotted near Corpus Christi, moving eastward towards the coast. El Paso and Albuquerque are enjoying dry and calm weather at the moment. San Antonio has scattered cloud cover without significant rainfall. Areas likevDallas and Oklahoma City remain dry.
Temperatures this evening in Austin will start at 88 degrees at 9 p.m., dropping to 81 degrees by 1 a.m. Expect mostly clear skies initially, transitioning to partly cloudy conditions later. Winds will be coming from the south-southeast around 10 miles per hour early in the evening, calming slightly overnight. Keep an eye on the sky for a beautiful sunset to start the evening.

High temperatures in the Southern Plains for tomorrow will soar above average as a heat dome settles over the area. Midland is forecast to hit a scorching 100 degrees, while San Antonio is also expected to reach 100. El Paso will see a high of 97 degrees, with Dallas warming up to 93. Corpus Christi is anticipated to reach 91 degrees, and New Orleans will enjoy a pleasant 88 degrees.
Tomorrow rain will extend from Dallas to Corpus Christi, delivering beneficial moisture to the area. Oklahoma City stands a chance of experiencing stronger storms, with the potential for severe weather due to an unstable air mass combined with an advancing cold front. Be on the lookout for any severe weather alerts through Wednesday night. Temperature trends suggest cooler weather post-front, as drier conditions prevail moving into the latter part of the week.
