A heat advisory is up for much of California. Get ready for hot temperatures for several days. Los Angeles and San Diego enjoy clear skies. Some of the heat will lead to rapid snow melt and potential flooding. Salt Lake City and Las Vegas remain dry for now
In Los Angeles, your Tuesday morning starts off partly cloudy at 8 a.m. with temperatures around 63 degrees. By 10 a.m., those clouds give way to mostly sunny skies and temperatures gently rising to 65 degrees. The calm conditions continue through the morning, with a slight SSW breeze at 3 mph by noon, as temperatures climb to 73 degrees.
High temperatures across the Southwest are expected to soar above average tomorrow. In Bakersfield, look for a peak of 103 degrees, while Fresno will reach a sizzling 102 degrees. Las Vegas is set for a high of 104 degrees, and Phoenix will match that with another 104. San Francisco, cooler by comparison, will see a high of 71 degrees.
The Southwest is gearing up for a blend of weather conditions. Expect mostly sunny skies with higher temperatures across the desert areas, potentially reaching into the low 90s.
