This rain, with embedded thunderstorm activity, is pushing east towards New England, impacting cities such as Boston and Portland. In Pennsylvania, Scranton is seeing heavy showers, while light rain spreads to the surrounding regions. Philadelphia is on the edge of the rain shield, with light showers. The western fringes, including areas near Pittsburgh and Buffalo, are experiencing sporadic, lighter rain, while New York City has approaching cloud cover and rain from the west.
