Thunderstorms are developing along a line extending from San Antonio up towards Dallas, bringing potential severe weather to these areas. In Oklahoma City, the radar shows some scattered storms, with rain showers likely moving towards Little Rock. Kansas City is just on the edge of this system, experiencing some thunderstorm activity as well. Clear skies dominate the western portions, including Albuquerque and El Paso. In the southeast, Jackson and New Orleans remain cloudy but free of any significant precipitation for now.
This evening in Austin, you can expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures starting at 86 degrees by 9 PM, cooling to 81 degrees by 1 AM. Winds will be from the south-southeast at 10 miles per hour, calming slightly to 8 miles per hour later in the night.
Tonight expect a low of 65 degrees in Oklahoma City and 62 in Little Rock. Dallas will see a mild low of 72, while Midland checks in at 71 degrees. San Antonio is forecasted to be warmer at 77 degrees. Down in New Orleans, it’s a balmy 75 for the overnight hours.
Tomorrow El Paso will hit 96 degrees, while Midland reaches a warm 83. San Antonio is set for a sizzling 95 degrees, and Corpus Christi will warm up to 92. Dallas cools off slightly, with a high of 81 degrees. Little Rock will experience a high of 86 as summer-like conditions grip the region.
Southern Plains weather outlook shows rain extending from Dallas to Corpus Christi, offering much-needed moisture. Oklahoma City is on alert for potential stronger storms due to an unstable air mass and an approaching cold front. Be prepared for severe weather warnings in the southeast tonight into Wednesday. Saturday: Expect partly cloudy weather, warming up to 99 degrees for today’s high. Sunday: Thunderstorms late in the day, with a scorching high of 99 degrees and a low of 76. Monday: Scattered thunderstorms expected, with a high of 94 degrees and an overnight low of 74.
