Over Nevada and Utah, clouds and light rain showers are stretching westward, impacting Ely and Cedar City, creating some travel concerns along the interstate. Redding and areas further south, like San Francisco, remain dry under clear skies. Coastal areas from San Francisco to Los Angeles are experiencing sunny weather, making it perfect for outdoor activities.
Tonight in Salt Lake City, temperatures begin at 87 degrees at 9 PM under clear skies, with winds from the north-northwest at 8 mph. By 11 PM, the temperature drops to 81 degrees, and winds shift to a calm northerly direction. Come 1 AM, temperatures settle at 74 degrees with easterly winds at 7 mph. Tonight, temperatures will dip to 49 degrees in Flagstaff, marking a notable drop for the area. Las Vegas will cool down to 56 degrees, while Cedar City is forecasted to be slightly warmer at 56 as well. In Southern California, Los Angeles will see a low of 58 degrees and San Diego at 60. Expect milder conditions in the Central Valley, with Fresno hitting 67 degrees.
Tomorrow, Phoenix reaches a scorching high of 108 degrees, while Las Vegas isn’t far behind at 106. Bakersfield will experience a sweltering 102 degrees, and Fresno will also see highs around 100. In contrast, San Francisco remains much cooler at 61 degrees, a notable deviation from the extreme temperatures in the region.
In the Southwest tomorrow, high pressure brings abundant sunshine across Arizona and New Mexico with temperatures rising into the low 90s, perfect for outdoor plans. However, California experiences on-and-off showers, particularly in the northern regions and coastal areas, with localized heavy rainfall. Slick roads and gusty winds may pose challenges along the coast, while the mountain regions could see some light snow accumulation. Be prepared for isolated thunderstorms in Southern California, which could bring periods of intense rainfall and gusty winds. Transitioning to Thursday, a gradual drying trend is expected with slightly cooler temperatures.
