A weather disturbance is sweeping across the Southwest, with rain showers moving from the Pacific coast inland over California. As the system progresses, expect snow in higher elevations like the Sierra Nevada, bringing hazardous travel conditions. The Nevada desert areas, including Ely, are seeing clear skies, offering a contrast to the mix of precipitation farther west. Los Angeles remains dry as the storm tracks primarily north of the area.
