The Southeast region is experiencing a range of weather conditions. A band of rain extends from northern Mississippi through Alabama, reaching up into southern Tennessee and the Carolinas. Charlotte is seeing showers, with this rain band advancing toward Raleigh. Farther to the south, rain is embracing the Florida Panhandle north of Jacksonville and stretching over to Savannah. Areas like Miami and Tampa are staying dry with no precipitation currently on the radar. Montgomery and Atlanta are seeing increased cloud cover as the frontal system pushes east. Shreveport and New Orleans are under clear skies, making for pleasant conditions today. A severe weather system, including thunderstorms, is evident over the western parts of the Carolinas, potentially advancing toward the northeast.
This evening in Miami, you can expect partly cloudy skies at 9 PM with a temperature of 75 degrees and a northeast wind at 10 mph. By 11 PM, the temperature slightly lowers to 74 degrees as skies clear up further, and the wind eases to 9 mph from the northeast. By 1 AM, conditions become mostly clear with the temperature dipping to 73 degrees and a gentle northeast breeze at 6 mph.
Now for the low temperatures, the Southeast is in store for a chilly night as colder air moves in. Memphis will cool down to 39 degrees, while Nashville can expect a low of 41. As we move east, temperatures remain warm, with New Orleans hitting 79 degrees and Montgomery expected to reach 72 degrees. A cold front is set to sweep through the Southeast on Thursday, bringing an active and shifting weather pattern. Expect thunderstorms, some potentially severe, moving from Memphis to Atlanta by evening. Significant rain and strong winds are the primary concerns, with isolated hail possible. Further south, showers will impact areas from New Orleans to Jacksonville, enhancing the risk of flash flooding in low-lying regions. Temperatures will remain stable before cooling slightly post-frontal passage, leading to more mild conditions heading into the weekend.
