In the Southwest region, our radar shows quite a dynamic pattern today. Storms are picking up in intensity around Reno and moving eastward. Ely is seeing snow flurries, adding a chill to the air. Meanwhile, Flagstaff is dealing with some snow, creating picturesque winter scenes.
Las Vegas and Phoenix are staying dry, with clear skies providing a nice break from the activity. Cedar City is experiencing snow, adding to the regional winter conditions. Over in California, San Francisco and surrounding areas, including Redding and Fresno, are under a blanket of rain. Bakersfield sees a mix of rain, while Los Angeles enjoys mild conditions with only light drizzle.
Along the coast, from San Diego northward, expect rain showers moving inland, offering much-needed relief for the drier areas. Snow in the higher elevations is creating challenging conditions in the mountain passes.
