Along the California coast, we’re seeing rain showers emanating from the Pacific Ocean, making their way inland, providing some welcome moisture to San Francisco and as far south as Los Angeles, where there’s a light drizzle. The central California valleys, including Fresno and Bakersfield, are experiencing rain, while the Sierra Nevada mountains are coated with snow. Farther north, in Redding, there’s precipitation in the form of rain and snow, with snow appearing at the higher elevations. Reno is also seeing some snowy conditions. Ely and Cedar City have light flurries moving through the area. Las Vegas remains dry, while Flagstaff is chilly with the possibility of light snow. Salt Lake City is witnessing a combination of valley rain and mountain snow.
Phoenix temperatures this afternoon will rise from 78 degrees at 3 p.m. to 82 degrees by 7 p.m., making it a warm and partly cloudy day. Winds will shift from the southwest at 6 miles per hour, increasing slightly to 12 miles per hour from the west-southwest by the evening

Phoenix is sizzling with a toasty high of 83 degrees, making it one of the warmest spots in the area. Over in San Diego, it’s a milder day at 63 degrees, while Los Angeles warms up a bit more to 64 degrees. Bakersfield is quite pleasant at 73 degrees. Farther north, Ely experiences a cooler high of 55 degrees, contrasting with the temperatures in the southern part of the region. Flagstaff also sees a cool 60 degrees, keeping it refreshingly mild.

Tomorrow in the Southwest, expect some warm temperatures for this time of year as high pressure settles in across the region. In Las Vegas, high temperatures will soar to 66 degrees, significantly above the seasonal average. In the Southwest tomorrow, expect a dynamic weather pattern, especially over the California coast. Northern California is slated for multiple rounds of valley rain from Tuesday into Wednesday. This could result in tricky driving and slick conditions over mountain passes. Farther east into the Southwest desert areas, anticipate a clear and sunny spell providing a pleasant backdrop.
