The Southwest region’s radar shows rain moving in from the Pacific northwest, bringing showers to Redding and surrounding areas. Reno is experiencing some light rain as the system pushes southeast. Ely and the areas in eastern Nevada see a mix of rain and snow, hinting at changing conditions as temperatures drop. While Flagstaff is currently dry, clouds indicate potential precipitation moving in later. Southern cities like Las Vegas, Phoenix, and San Diego remain clear for now, enjoying a respite from the stormy weather.
For this evening in Salt Lake City, temperatures begin at 83 degrees at 9 PM, and cool to 67 degrees by 1 AM. Expect mostly clear skies with a steady wind from the south-southwest at 24 miles per hour, decreasing slightly as the night progresses. Winds will shift to a southerly direction at 21 miles per hour by 11 PM, before settling to 14 miles per hour by early morning. Clear conditions are set to continue overnight.

Temperatures in Southern California and Arizona will notably cool, with daytime highs dropping by around 10 degrees. Watch for slick roads and lower visibility especially across mountain passes as rain persists through Wednesday.
