A cluster of severe storms is moving southeast across Memphis, bringing heavy rain and potential thunderstorms to the area. The system is expected to continue towards northern Mississippi and into Alabama. Scattered rain showers are currently moving through Jackson, Mississippi, heading eastward. Areas like Shreveport and New Orleans remain dry. Conditions along the Southeast coastline from Savannah to Miami are also clear.
This evening in Miami, temperatures will gradually decrease from 83 degrees at 9 PM to 81 degrees by 1 AM. Expect mostly clear skies throughout the evening with a light breeze from the south-southeast at 9 miles per hour initially, slowing to 5 miles per hour by early morning.
Tonight Nashville will cool down to 59 degrees, while Memphis sees a low of 62. The temperatures will dip to 61 in both Jackson and Montgomery, and Atlanta is forecasted to reach a low of 61 as well. Farther south, New Orleans will stay warmer with a low of 71, while Tampa remains mild at 76. Miami will round out the warmer temperatures with a low of 78.
Tomorrow in the Southeast, temperatures will soar well above average, especially in Florida. Jacksonville could reach a sweltering 95 degrees, while Savannah is not far behind at 92. Atlanta will see highs of 88 degrees, and Montgomery will hit 88 as well. New Orleans will warm up to 86, with Houston also experiencing a high of 91 degrees.
