In the Southeast region, we see a relatively calm radar with some developing weather systems. Near the Gulf Coast, spotty rain showers are evident around New Orleans and Houston, moving gently northeast. Montgomery and Jacksonville are under some increasing cloud cover, with light rain showers expected to develop later in the day. Cities like Atlanta and Charlotte are enjoying clear skies, while Memphis remains calm with no precipitation in sight.
Atlanta’s afternoon is featuring partly cloudy skies with temperatures steady at 89 degrees. Winds are light, coming from the east-southeast at 4 miles per hour. As evening approaches, temperatures will slightly drop to 86 degrees by 8 PM, with winds shifting slightly to the south-southeast.
This afternoon in the Southeast, temperatures are heating up significantly. In New Orleans and Jackson, expect highs around 91 degrees, while Houston reaches a sizzling 93. Shreveport will be even warmer at 95 degrees. Atlanta is forecasted to hit 90 degrees, with Savannah and Jacksonville also warming to 90. Over in Florida, Tampa sees a pleasant high of 90 degrees, while Miami lingers a bit cooler at 88.
Tonight’s temperatures in the Southeast are looking warm, with Memphis dropping to 76 degrees. Expect 72 in Jackson and Montgomery, while Nashville will cool slightly to 74. Farther south, New Orleans will see a low of 77, and Tampa will stay mild at 75. Miami rounds out the region with a warm low of 81 degrees.
Tomorrow in the Southeast, Shreveport will see a high of 96 degrees, while Houston will warm up to 92. Atlanta is expected to reach 93, and Nashville will feel the heat with a high of 94. New Orleans will hit 91 degrees, and temperatures in Tampa are anticipated to be around 92.
A wave of scattered thunderstorms will move through the Southeast this Saturday morning, particularly impacting areas from Atlanta to Jacksonville. As these storms progress, expect isolated downpours and gusty winds, most notable in New Orleans and Montgomery. By late Saturday afternoon, storm activity should decrease, leaving behind partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures.
