The Southeastern region is seeing a mix of weather conditions this morning. An area of rain is sweeping across the Gulf, affecting New Orleans with some light to moderate showers. These showers are stretching towards the north, reaching Jackson with a few sprinkles and cloud cover. The weather remains mostly clear and calm from Atlanta all the way up to Charlotte, providing a pleasant break. Farther southeast, coastal cities like Miami and Jacksonville are enjoying dry and sunny skies.
For this evening in Atlanta, anticipate mostly clear skies. Temperatures will gradually decrease from 74 degrees at 9 PM to 67 degrees by 1 AM. Winds will be light, coming from the west-northwest at 9 mph early on, easing to around 5 mph later.
Tonight Nashville is expected to see a low of 56 degrees, while Atlanta will cool down to 57. Montgomery will hit 65 degrees, and Jackson will stay warmer at 69. Shreveport is looking at a low of 74, with New Orleans not far behind at 75 degrees. Farther south, Tampa will maintain a mild night at 73 degrees, and Miami rounds out the region with a warm 79.
