The Southeast is currently experiencing mostly calm conditions, but a few weather elements are shifting the scene. Rain is gently moving through the central parts of Alabama, particularly around Montgomery, with areas farther east remaining dry for now. Along the coast, cities like New Orleans and Jackson remain mostly clear at this moment. However, clouds are on the increase. Along the Florida Panhandle, from Jacksonville to Tampa, conditions remain mainly clear, with no significant precipitation.
For this evening in Atlanta, prepare for clear skies and steady cooling. Temperatures will drop from 62 degrees at 8 PM to 51 degrees by midnight. A gentle north-northwest breeze will persist, starting at 6 miles per hour and easing to 3 miles per hour by midnight.
In the Southeast, we’re seeing a significant dip in temperatures as cold air sweeps across the region. Memphis will wake up to a brisk 45 degrees. Nashville isn’t far behind with a low of 39. Over in Shreveport, expect a chilly 55 degrees. Jackson will drop to 60, while Montgomery and Atlanta will settle at 60 and 55, respectively. Savannah will feel slightly cooler at 56 degrees. Jacksonville will see a low of 57, while Tampa remains mild at 60. Miami rounds out the region with a warm 71 degrees.
High temperatures for the Southeast region tomorrow are expected to be quite warm, with several cities experiencing above-average readings.
In Louisiana, Shreveport will see a high of 84 degrees, while New Orleans is set for 79 degrees. Over in Mississippi, Jackson will reach 80 degrees, providing a lovely day. Alabama’s Montgomery will also be warm, hitting 82 degrees, and Atlanta, Georgia, is forecasted for 78 degrees.
Jacksonville, is looking at a high of 79 degrees, with temperatures in Tampa rising to 82. Miami will stay warm with a high of 78 degrees. Overall, it’s a pleasant day ahead, influenced by a warm air mass settling across the region.
“A cold front is set to impact the Southeast, bringing the potential for severe thunderstorms, particularly from New Orleans to Shreveport. Expect heavy rainfall and possible strong winds through Saturday evening. As the front progresses, cities like Jackson, Montgomery, and Atlanta might experience heightened storm activity. The northern Gulf Coast areas should be on alert for possible weather warnings due to intense thunderstorm activity. Meanwhile, southeast areas, including Jacksonville and Tampa, will see more mild conditions until the rain bands reach the coast as the weekend progresses.”
The UV index in Atlanta will be quite high this weekend with a value of 7 on both Saturday and Sunday. Be mindful of spending extended periods in the sun, as the burn time is about 20 minutes. Remember to apply sunscreen and wear protective clothing to help guard against UV exposure!

Saturday: Expect a clear day with a high of 74 degrees and a low of 40.
Sunday: Thunderstorms late, reaching 79 degrees with a low of 54.
Monday: Partly cloudy, temperatures will hit a high of 71 degrees and dip to 43 overnight.
Tuesday: Mostly clear skies with a high of 79 degrees and a low around 52.
Wednesday: Clear conditions with temperatures reaching 75 degrees during the day and 43 degrees at night.
Thursday: Mostly clear with a daytime high of 74 degrees and a nighttime low of 43.
Friday: Cloudy skies as the week wraps up with a high of 78 degrees and a low of 55.
