The Southeast is experiencing mostly clear conditions with a line of rain showers moving southeastward from the vicinity of Shreveport and into the Houston area. Light rain is also evident near Jacksonville and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. For those in Savannah and Charleston, skies remain mostly clear with no precipitation expected. Charlotte, Atlanta, and Montgomery are all enjoying dry weather with minimal cloud cover.
Afternoon in Atlanta sees temperatures near 70 degrees with a noticeable breeze from the northwest at 10 miles per hour. Sunshine dominates, keeping skies clear as the day progresses. By 6 PM, temperatures slightly rise to 71 degrees, maintaining the sunny conditions. As we approach 8 PM, expect a gentle dip to 66 degrees with lighter winds.
This afternoon, the Southeast is experiencing a range of temperatures. In Shreveport, the high reaches 84 degrees, making it one of the warmest spots today. Houston follows closely with a high of 82 degrees, while Jackson sees a pleasant high of 79. Down in New Orleans, temperatures are slightly cooler at 77 degrees.
