This week starts with a calm, partly cloudy morning, transitioning into more dynamic scenarios including potential rain showers and scattered thunderstorms as the week progresses. Highs are averaging at mid 70s to low 80s, which is typical for spring but keep those umbrellas handy! The Southeast region is seeing some dynamic weather patterns today. Heavy storms are pushing northward from Houston into Louisiana, bringing strong rain showers to the Shreveport area. Further east, light rain is spreading over Jackson, Mississippi, and moving toward Montgomery, Alabama, highlighting an active weather day for the region. Meanwhile, cities like Atlanta and Charlotte are currently under clear conditions but should keep an eye on the clouds gathering from the west. Savannah and Jacksonville are dry for now, offering a pleasant break from the storms. Farther south, Miami enjoys clear skies, allowing for a bright and sunny day across the peninsula of Florida.
“Tomorrow morning in Atlanta, expect cloudy skies with temperatures starting at 61 degrees at 7 AM. The temperature will rise to 65 degrees by 9 AM, with a southeast wind around 6 to 8 miles per hour. By 11 AM, the temperature reaches 70 degrees with winds from the south-southeast at 10 miles per hour, maintaining the cloudy conditions.”
High temperatures for tomorrow across the Southeast are looking quite warm as we head into spring. Atlanta expects a high of 78 degrees, which is right around seasonal averages. Moving down to Montgomery, Alabama, temperatures will warm up to 80 degrees. Jacksonville and Savannah will also enjoy similar highs of 79 and 76 degrees, respectively. In Louisiana, Baton Rouge will hit 80 degrees as well, while New Orleans anticipates a high of 74 degrees. Up in Memphis, Tennessee, temperatures will be slightly cooler with a high of 70 degrees. Over in Houston, Texas, prepare for a warm day with a high reaching 83 degrees.
On Friday, a weather pattern shifts as a line of storms moves across the Southeast. Starting in New Orleans, expect heavy rain and possible thunderstorms, advancing northeast through Jackson and Shreveport. Elevated rain chances persist through Friday evening, extending to Memphis and Montgomery. There’s potential for localized flooding due to heavy downpours. As this frontal system continues, stay alert for weather warnings stretching all the way to Atlanta. Temperatures will remain moderate, with no significant changes expected over the next 48 hours.
Friday in Atlanta brings a very high UV index of 8, resulting in a burn time of just 17 minutes in direct sunlight. Don’t forget to protect your skin with sunscreen and hats! On Saturday, the UV index decreases to 6.

Wednesday: More sunshine peeking through with partly cloudy conditions, reaching 78 degrees for the high and 65 for the low. Thursday: Scattered thunderstorms return with highs around 84 degrees and lows of 65. Friday: Expect thundershowers with temperatures peaking at 84 degrees and cooling down to 62.
