Tonight’s forecast predicts milder temperatures before tomorrow’s likely rain showers across Dallas to Corpus Christi. A line of storms is bustling across southern Texas, stretching from San Antonio to Corpus Christi, bringing rain showers to both cities. Light rain is also making its way through western Texas towards Midland, while areas around El Paso remain dry. Oklahoma City is seeing some cloud cover, but clear conditions persist over Kansas City, with no precipitation in sight. In Louisiana, around New Orleans, rain showers are moving in from the Gulf.
In Austin this afternoon, temperatures will rise to 94 degrees by 4 PM with partly cloudy skies. Winds are coming from the southeast at 5 miles per hour, providing a light breeze. By 6 PM, the temperature slightly drops to 93 degrees, with mostly cloudy conditions and a gentle 6 miles per hour southeast wind. Expect 88 degrees and mostly cloudy skies by 8 PM, with winds from the south-southeast at 6 miles per hour.
Today in the Southern Plains, we’re seeing a range of high temperatures that reflect a warm summertime pattern. Dallas hits a sizzling 92 degrees, while nearby Fort Worth will experience an equally hot day. Meanwhile, San Antonio registers a warm 88 degrees, providing a nice contrast to Midland’s cooler 74 degrees. Over in El Paso, expect high temperatures around 85 degrees, which is relatively mild compared to its neighbors. New Orleans is also feeling the heat, reaching 91 degrees as humidity levels rise in the Gulf region.
Tonight, the Southern Plains will experience mild temperatures as Dallas drops to 77 degrees. Oklahoma City is expected to see a low of 73, while Little Rock will settle at 69 degrees. Jackson could see a cooler low of 66 degrees. San Antonio will maintain a balmy temperature of 76 overnight.
Tomorrow, Dallas will see a high of 93 degrees, well above average for this time of year. In San Antonio, temperatures will reach 87 degrees, while Corpus Christi will warm up to 90 degrees. El Paso is expected to hit 88 degrees, and Midland will be cooler at 76 degrees.
