Oklahoma City and Albuquerque remain under clear skies, while Corpus Christi sees scattered rain showers. Determined pockets of rain are noted near New Orleans, enhancing the area’s wet conditions.
Temperatures in Austin tomorrow morning will start at 76 degrees at 8 AM, warming to 80 degrees by 10 AM. Winds from the south at 3 mph will shift slightly to the south-southwest at about 5 mph. Expect mostly cloudy skies early on, with a transition to partly cloudy conditions by midday.
Tomorrow in El Paso, expect a scorching high of 101 degrees, significantly above average for this time of year. Midland will see a warm high of 93 degrees, while Dallas reaches 91. San Antonio is in for a pleasant 92 degrees, and Corpus Christi will hit 90. Little Rock and Jackson will both see highs of 90 and 91 degrees respectively, as warm air dominates the Southern Plains.
A surge of moisture impacts the Southern Plains as a cold front marches eastward, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms from Midland through Oklahoma City by tomorrow evening. Severe weather concerns linger, with potential for strong winds and hail, particularly north of Dallas. Temperatures will hover in the mid-80s, with cooler air filtering in behind the front. Rainfall amounts might provide welcomed relief from drought conditions across central Texas, but localized flooding could occur in heavier downpours. As the front advances, weather stays unsettled through Tuesday, moving toward Louisiana and Arkansas.
