St. Louis will start seeing rain as the storm progresses. Areas along the Great Lakes, including Detroit and Cleveland, are experiencing rain with more cloud cover as systems move in from the northwest. Clouds are scattered across Des Moines, staying mostly clear for now but expect overcast conditions. Expect intermittent showers and cloud cover in Fort Wayne. This afternoon in Chicago, temperatures will peak at 58 degrees by 4 PM. A gentle east-northeast wind will blow at 9 miles per hour, maintaining a mostly sunny vibe. By 6 PM, expect temperatures to dip slightly to 56 degrees, accompanied by partly cloudy skies with winds increasing to 10 miles per hour. As the day transitions to 8 PM, the temperature will hover around 55 degrees with mostly cloudy conditions and winds easing back to 9 miles per hour. Today Chicago is on the cool side with a high of just 58 degrees, while farther south in St. Louis, residents can expect a more comfortable 71 degrees.
