Across the Great Lakes region, including Chicago and Detroit, skies are mostly clear with moderate cloud cover. Farther west in the Midwest, areas including Des Moines and Kansas City, experience clear skies with no immediate precipitation. Springfield, situated southward, has a mix of rain and snow that may cause slick conditions on roads.
