Indianapolis and Louisville are also under significant cloud cover with consistent rain showers. Bowling Green is experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall, moving northeastward. Meanwhile, Fort Wayne finds itself on the outskirts of the rain bands, potentially gearing up for lighter precipitation. Des Moines is in the clear, enjoying a break from wet conditions.
This afternoon in Chicago, temperatures will hover around 52 degrees, gradually dipping to 49 degrees by early evening. Expect mostly cloudy skies, with winds coming from the north at 14 miles per hour, increasing slightly to 16 miles per hour by 5 PM.
Peoria warms up nicely to 72 today. Down in St. Louis, temperatures reach a pleasant 78 degrees, making it one of the warmer spots in the region. Indianapolis is slightly cooler at 69 degrees, but still comfortable. Kansas City is at 66, and farther south, Louisville hits a high of 70 degrees. By tomorrow afternoon, the storms will shift eastward, impacting Cleveland and Columbus, as cloud cover lingers behind the front. Winds may gust to 30 mph, particularly across Ohio.
