A quiet start over the Midwest region today, with clear skies dominating most areas. However, southern parts near Springfield are seeing some rain showers moving northeast. Skies remain overcast in this vicinity, while the rest of St. Louis and Indianapolis enjoy relatively clear conditions. Farther north, Chicago and Detroit also experience calm weather with no precipitation presently affecting them. For cities like Cleveland and Fort Wayne, it’s all about clear skies and comfortable conditions.
Chicago remains sunny this afternoon with temperatures peaking at 65 degrees around 4 PM. Expect a gentle east-northeast breeze at 9 miles per hour, providing a comfortable feel. As the evening progresses, temperatures will slightly drop to 62 degrees by 8 PM with the winds settling at 7 miles per hour from the east.
Today Kansas City is heating up with a high of 89 degrees, while St. Louis is a bit cooler at 85 degrees. In Indiana, Indianapolis reaches 77 degrees, closely followed by Louisville at the same temperature. Heading north, Chicago is cooler with a high of just 65 degrees. Farther east, Cleveland will see a cooler day with a high of only 63 degrees, while Fort Wayne manages to hit 72.
Tonight Chicago will drop to 67 degrees, while temperatures in Peoria and St. Louis stay warm at 70. Indianapolis will cool down to 61 degrees, and Columbus hits a low of 54 degrees.
