A strong line of rain and storms is cutting through the Midwest, heading from Illinois into Indiana and Ohio. Chicago and Fort Wayne are currently witnessing rain, while Indianapolis faces a mix of rain and snow, creating slick conditions. Meanwhile, Peoria remains under cloudy skies with light showers. As you move farther east, Columbus and Cleveland are seeing steady rain, which is gradually tapering off towards Detroit. Saginaw is on the edge of the rain band, where skies are starting to clear. Louisville and Bowling Green are experiencing scattered rain showers, with the heaviest precipitation moving towards the East Coast. Charleston, meanwhile, is bracing for a band of severe storms moving steadily in their direction. Keep an eye out for rapid changes in conditions with strong winds accompanying the rain.

The warm air mass moving into the region is contributing to these higher temperatures, particularly in the southern parts of the Midwest.
