Widespread clear conditions dominate the Southwest region, with isolated showers pushing through Northern Nevada. Precipitation is absent across major California cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco. In Northern California, areas near Redding are experiencing pockets of rainfall, while higher altitudes remain snow-free at this moment. Moving eastward, Las Vegas and Flagstaff continue to enjoy dry conditions with no immediate precipitation or cloud cover concerns.
In Salt Lake City this evening, we’re looking at mostly sunny skies turning mostly clear as the night progresses. At 9 PM, temperatures will be around 68 degrees with a gentle northwest wind at 8 miles per hour. By 11 PM, expect the temperature to dip to 63 degrees with winds remaining from the northeast at 7 miles per hour. The temperature will continue to fall to 58 degrees by 1 AM, with clear skies and a calm northeast wind at 5 miles per hour.
Tonight in the Southwest, chilly air makes its presence felt with notable drops in temperatures. Flagstaff drops to a cold 42 degrees, while Ely sees a brisk low of 40. Las Vegas will experience a milder low of 72. San Diego and Los Angeles will both register overnight lows of 58. Expect San Francisco to be cool at 52 degrees, making for a chilly start in the region.
High temperatures in the Southwest are setting up to be quite the scorcher tomorrow. Phoenix is expected to reach a sizzling 104 degrees, while Las Vegas will also see highs hitting 100. Bakersfield and Fresno are both forecasting warm afternoons at 95 degrees. San Francisco remains cooler at 68, representing a significant deviation from the other cities in the region.
