On the Regional Radar, the Southwest region is seeing a mix of conditions. In California, rain is impacting areas like Redding and San Francisco, gradually moving southeastward, offering relief to the dry regions. Flagstaff in Arizona is experiencing clear but cool weather, while Las Vegas remains dry with scattered clouds. Southern California, including Los Angeles and San Diego, is enjoying clear skies.
This evening in Los Angeles, anticipate partly cloudy skies with temperatures cooling from 90 degrees at 9 PM to 76 degrees by 1 AM. Winds will be gentle, shifting from south-southwest at 7 mph to west-southwest at 5 mph, and finally calming to south-southwest at 3 mph. A pleasant night ahead with comfortable conditions for those headed out.
For tonight, expect Flagstaff to drop to a chilly 45 degrees, while Ely will be even cooler at 47. Las Vegas will stay relatively mild at 74 degrees, but the surrounding areas will feel the cooler air. Bakersfield will register a low of 57 degrees, and Los Angeles is set for a low of 59. San Francisco rounds out the region with a low of 53 degrees.
High temperatures for Las Vegas will hit 99 degrees. In California, Bakersfield and Fresno will be warm at 94 and 90 degrees, respectively, while Los Angeles enjoys a milder 83 degrees. San Francisco remains cooler at 61 degrees.
A sunny stretch is ahead for much of the Southwest, though coastal areas like Southern California are bracing for light winds. A frontal system moving through the Pacific Northwest will bring periods of rain to parts of Northern California by late tomorrow, impacting travel conditions. Temperatures are set to remain warm across desert regions with minimal precipitation expected. Stay vigilant along coastal zones for sudden wind gusts and potential isolated thunderstorms. As the front passes, expect cooler temps and clearer skies moving into the midweek.
This weekend’s UV index in Los Angeles will be very high. On Saturday, expect a UV index of 10 with a burn time of just 12 minutes in direct sunlight—ensure plenty of sun protection! Sunday brings a slightly lower UV index of 9, but with a burn time of only 15 minutes, continued precautions are necessary.

Friday: Partly cloudy with daytime highs of 65 degrees and a warmer low of 57.
