In the Southwest region, clear skies dominate much of California, from San Francisco down to Los Angeles and San Diego, providing a pleasant evening. Showers are present in the mountains near Flagstaff, bringing cooler temperatures and potential rainfall. In southern Arizona, near Phoenix, thunderstorms are popping up, signaling the start of stormy conditions. Ely and Cedar City remain dry under clear skies.
For this evening in Los Angeles, temperatures will gradually decrease from 72 degrees at 9 PM to 64 degrees by 1 AM. Expect mostly clear skies transitioning to partly cloudy as the night progresses. Winds are coming from the south-southwest, starting at 8 mph and calming to 4 mph by early morning. A pleasant and tranquil night overall.
Tonight, Los Angeles will see a low of 63 degrees, while San Diego drops to 66. Expect cooler temperatures in Fresno at 67 degrees and Bakersfield at a warmer 73. Flagstaff will experience a significant drop to 52 degrees, making it the coldest spot in the Southwest region tonight.
Tomorrow in Phoenix, expect scorching highs reaching 100 degrees. Las Vegas will be warm as well, with temperatures climbing to 95 degrees. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop Wednesday afternoon, with potential for gusty winds and localized downpours. Temperatures remain elevated in Las Vegas, approaching 105, while Phoenix stays near 100 degrees. Minimal moisture will reach Southern California, keeping conditions dry and warm.
