Ely and Reno remain dry as patches of cloud cover are observed nearby, with no significant precipitation expected.
The afternoon in Los Angeles features mostly sunny skies with temperatures starting at 71 degrees at 4 PM, gently rising to 72 degrees by 6 PM. Winds are coming from the south at 7 to 9 miles per hour, adding a touch of a breeze to the warm, pleasant conditions. The 8 PM temperature eases down to 70 degrees, maintaining the comfortable and mostly sunny pattern.
Today in the Southwest, we’re seeing some sizzling temperatures. Las Vegas will heat up to a scorching 103 degrees, while Phoenix is just a bit cooler at 102. The highs in Fresno and Bakersfield are impressive as well, reaching 95 and 97 degrees respectively. Over in San Diego, temperatures will remain more moderate, topping out at 73 degrees. Flagstaff is experiencing a notable contrast with a high of just 76, providing a cooler retreat from the heat.
Tonight, Las Vegas will see a low of 75 degrees, while Phoenix stays warmer at 81. Flagstaff is expected to drop to a brisk 51 degrees, marking a notable chill for the region. San Diego will cool down to 63 degrees, and Bakersfield is forecasted to hit 65 tonight.
Tomorrow in the Southwest, expect soaring temperatures with Las Vegas reaching a high of 101 degrees, well above average. Phoenix will see a warm 99 degrees, while Fresno competes with a high of 90. Bakersfield is also heating up to 93 degrees, contributing to the overall trend of elevated temperatures across the region. San Francisco will remain cooler at 63 degrees, providing a stark contrast to the high heat further inland. A persistent high-pressure system is driving these warmer conditions, leading to significant warmth across the Southwest.
