Southern California remains mostly dry, although some rain is making its way offshore near San Diego. This evening in Los Angeles, temperatures will begin at a warm 74 degrees at 9 PM with a south-southwest wind at 8 mph. By 11 PM, expect temperatures to cool to 68 degrees with winds shifting from the south at 6 mph under clear skies. As you head into the early morning hours at 1 AM, anticipate a temperature of 65 degrees with a slight south-southeast breeze at 4 mph and mostly clear skies.
Tonight in the Southwest, expect Flagstaff to dip to a chilly 48 degrees. Las Vegas will be cooler as well, with an evening low of 57. Bakersfield will stay relatively mild at 65, while temperatures in Fresno will reach 60. A significant drop is seen in San Francisco as they fall to 57 degrees overnight.
Tomorrow in Phoenix, expect a scorching high of 108 degrees, significantly above average for this time of year. Las Vegas will be hot as well, reaching 102 degrees, with a warm air mass in place. Meanwhile, Bakersfield is forecasted to hit 90 degrees, while Fresno is slightly cooler at 89. In coastal San Diego, temperatures will be more moderate, peaking at 75 degrees. San Francisco remains on the cooler side with a high of 64 degrees.
Expect a sunny and dry pattern to continue across the desert Southwest, with high temperatures rising into the low 100s by afternoon. Coastal regions in Southern California, however, anticipate a series of disturbances bringing scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Up to an inch of rainfall is possible in the San Diego region over the next 48 hours, which could lead to localized flooding in low-lying areas. Winds will pick up from the north, ushering cooler temperatures behind a weak frontal passage by late Saturday. Caution advised on mountain routes due to slick conditions after rainfall.

Tuesday: The clear weather continues with a daytime high of 75 degrees and a low of 62 degrees.
