The regional radar is quite active, especially in the Southwest. Light rain showers are currently spotted near Flagstaff and extending into areas around Phoenix. Coastal California is relatively dry, but clouds are gathering over San Francisco and Los Angeles. Farther north, Reno is staying dry while Ely sees a bit of snow. In the higher elevations, such as the Sierra Nevada, there could be some snowfall enhancing the winter feel.
Expect a mild start to your Tuesday morning in Los Angeles with temperatures around 65 degrees at 8 AM, rising to 66 degrees by 10 AM. Mostly cloudy skies will be present initially, transitioning to cloudy conditions as the morning progresses. Winds are gentle from the south-southeast at 3 miles per hour, making for a calm and stable weather pattern.
High temperatures for the Southwest tomorrow will soar above average, with Bakersfield reaching a scorching 101 degrees. Fresno isn’t far behind, expecting a high of 100 degrees. Las Vegas will also experience warmth, hitting 95 degrees, while Phoenix rises to 85 degrees. Coastal areas like San Diego will see a milder 77 degrees, in contrast to the inland heat. San Francisco remains cooler at 61 degrees due to marine influences affecting the region.
Tomorrow in the Southwest, a high-pressure system ensures predominantly clear skies and plenty of sunshine across the desert areas. Expect temperatures to rise into the 90s, with slightly cooler readings along the coast. However, a developing low-pressure system off the coast could bring light showers to parts of Northern California, especially around the San Francisco Bay Area. The coastal regions may experience gusty winds as this system approaches. Keep an eye out for changes, but major disruptions are not expected over the next 48 hours.
The UV index in Los Angeles will reach a very high level of 10 on Saturday, with a burn time of just 12 minutes, suggesting extra caution is necessary for prolonged sun exposure. On Sunday, the UV index lowers to 8, but still poses a high risk, with a burn time of 17 minutes.
Tuesday: Mostly clear skies with a high of 69 degrees and a low of 59 degrees. Wednesday: Expect continued clear conditions, reaching a high of 69 degrees and a low of 60.
