A band of rain showers is sweeping across Northern California, from Redding down towards Fresno, bringing much-needed moisture to the region. Over in Nevada, areas like Ely and Cedar City are experiencing isolated rain showers. Clouds are sprawling over Las Vegas, though it remains dry for now. In Arizona, Flagstaff is also seeing some light rain activity. The rest of the Southwest, including Phoenix and Los Angeles, remains under clear skies.
Cloudy skies will persist through the afternoon in Los Angeles with temperatures hovering around 60 degrees by 4 PM, slightly increasing to 61 degrees by 6 PM. Winds will remain steady from the south at 7 miles per hour. As we move into the evening at 8 PM, expect temperatures to settle back to 60 degrees with continued cloudiness.
We’re seeing a variety of temperatures across the Southwest today. In Las Vegas, expect a pleasant high of 71 degrees, while Phoenix will be a bit warmer, reaching 78 degrees under sunny skies. Bakersfield enjoys a comfortable 72 degrees, contrasting with cooler conditions in Los Angeles where temperatures peak at 62 degrees. Farther north, Fresno warms up to 73 degrees, and San Francisco sits at 67 degrees. Flagstaff remains on the chillier side with a high of just 53 degrees.
Tonight Las Vegas will cool down to 59 degrees, while Flagstaff is expecting a chilly low of 32 degrees, right at freezing. Phoenix will remain milder at 60 degrees, but it’s getting colder in Cedar City with a predicted low of 40. Keep an eye on Ely, where temperatures plummet to a brisk 30 degrees.
