On the Regional Radar, light to moderate rain is moving across northern Arizona, with Flagstaff experiencing persistent showers. In Nevada, around Ely and Cedar City, it’s cloudy. Coastal cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles are enjoying clear conditions, providing a nice break from any wet weather. Northern areas around Salt Lake City are seeing some light snow flurries in the high altitudes, expect light rain in the valleys. Areas near Las Vegas continue to stay dry, basking under clear skies.
Expect a mostly cloudy evening in Los Angeles with temperatures gradually decreasing from 61 degrees at 9 PM to 58 degrees by 1 AM. Winds will be light and out of the south-southwest, ranging from 7 to 5 miles per hour before becoming calm later at night.
Tonight, the Southwest is poised for some chilly temperatures. Ely drops to a brisk 37 degrees, while Flagstaff isn’t far behind at 36. Las Vegas will see a low of 64, slightly warmer than some neighboring areas. In California, Redding and San Francisco are forecasted to hit 56 and 50 degrees respectively. Expect a mild 67 in Phoenix, but cooler air is definitely making its presence felt across the region.
Tomorrow’s high temperatures across the Southwest are expected to be well above average. Los Angeles will see a pleasant high of 71 degrees, while further inland, Bakersfield reaches a warm 89 degrees. In Fresno, temperatures soar to 88 degrees, with Las Vegas also enjoying a high of 80 degrees. Phoenix will also see a warm day with temperatures hitting 85 degrees. San Francisco remains cooler at 59 degrees, but overall, much of the region is experiencing unseasonably warm conditions.
A robust high-pressure system will dominate much of the Southwest tomorrow, maintaining clear skies and fostering warm temperatures, especially in Arizona and parts of Nevada. The pattern will shift slightly, with showers expected over the higher terrains of New Mexico and northern Arizona by late afternoon. As the day progresses, Southern California could see an increase in cloud cover, but precipitation is unlikely. Temperatures in the region will remain above average, with highs nearing the upper 80s in southern areas.
