A line of storms is approaching the Pacific Northwest, impacting areas near Redding with moderate rainfall. Ely is experiencing isolated rain showers, with similar conditions reported near Cedar City. Surrounding the Salt Lake City, there is light precipitation dotting the landscape. In the Southwest, Flagstaff has pockets of showers nearby, while Las Vegas and the Arizona desert, including Phoenix, remain dry under mostly clear skies. San Francisco and the entire California coastline are enjoying a break from any significant weather, maintaining clear conditions.
For this evening in Los Angeles, expect a cloudy sky with temperatures gradually decreasing from 58 degrees at 9 PM to 56 degrees by 1 AM. Winds will be gentle, shifting from the south at 7 miles per hour at 9 PM to a south-southeast breeze at 4 miles per hour by 1 AM.
Tonight, expect a frosty 27 degrees in Ely, marking a notable decrease. Flagstaff will see a low of 35, while Cedar City cools to 36 degrees. Las Vegas stays mild at 64, but farther west, Los Angeles will dip to 54. San Diego is slightly warmer, with a low of 55 degrees.
High temperatures in the Southwest are set to soar above average tomorrow. Phoenix will lead the pack with a hot high of 88 degrees. Las Vegas is expected to reach a warm 84 degrees, while Fresno will see highs around 83. Coastal areas like San Diego and Los Angeles will experience mild temperatures at 67 and 69 degrees. These warm conditions are influenced by a high-pressure system lingering over the region, promoting clear skies and elevated temperatures.
Expect the Southwest to enjoy predominantly sunny skies tomorrow with temperatures hovering around the low 80s. Northern California will experience scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm, particularly around the Sacramento Valley, due to a passing system. Look out for potential heavy downpours during the late afternoon into early evening, increasing travel risks over mountain passes. Southern California remains relatively dry, yet there’s a chance of showers developing in areas like the San Bernardino Valley. For those planning weekend activities, be prepared for wet conditions in the northern regions and clearer, warm weather in the south.

Thursday: Partly cloudy conditions are expected, maintaining a high of 78 degrees and a low of 61 degrees. Friday: Wrapping up the week partly cloudy, highs will be 73 degrees, and the low will be 59 degrees.
