The Southwest region is experiencing a mix of weather conditions. Across northern California, rain showers are making their way into Redding, bringing a welcome drizzle. Meanwhile, in Reno, precipitation is light with rain showers sticking around. Farther south, Las Vegas continues to enjoy dry conditions under mostly clear skies. Moving eastward, Cedar City is seeing some rain, with more clouds pushing into the area. Over in Arizona, Flagstaff is gearing up for a chill, with potential light snowflakes mixing in with the rain showers. Meanwhile, in Phoenix, skies are clearer, with no precipitation expected right now. California’s central coast, including San Francisco, benefits from clearer skies, while light rain continues farther inland around Fresno and Bakersfield. The southernmost areas, including San Diego and Los Angeles, remain mild with largely clear conditions.

“Expect a dynamic start to the day across the Southwest with a powerful low-pressure system moving in. Northern California will see rounds of rain, increasing the chance for localized flooding. Farther south, Southern California and parts of Arizona remain dry, but gusty winds are expected, elevating fire danger. Be prepared for a wet and potentially windy 48 hours if you’re north of the Tehachapi Mountains.”
