In the Southwest region, the radar is showing a mix of weather conditions. Around Salt Lake City, precipitation is indicating some mixed conditions with areas of rain and possibly a bit of snow, especially farther north and towards the higher elevations The sky above Cedar City is under cloud cover with some light precipitation possible. In contrast, the landscape around Las Vegas, Fresno, and farther south towards Los Angeles and San Diego remains dry with clear skies. Meanwhile, the conditions are quiet in Phoenix.
“In Los Angeles tomorrow morning, temperatures will start at 50 degrees under cloudy skies. Calm conditions persist early on, with a light southeast wind picking up slightly to 4 miles per hour as we move toward the late morning, with temperatures reaching 52 degrees.”
High temperatures for tomorrow in the Southwest region are shaping up quite nicely. Phoenix is looking at a warm high of 83 degrees, which is above average for this time of year. Las Vegas will follow suit with a pleasant high of 78 degrees, also above normal. Further north, Ely, Nevada, will see a cooler day with a high reaching only 53 degrees. Fresno warms up to 67 degrees. Bakersfield gets a bit toastier at 72 degrees. Redding and San Francisco will remain on the cooler side with highs of 53 and 62 degrees, respectively.
“On the Southwest futurecast, expect an incoming weather pattern bringing rain showers to Northern California through tomorrow. Areas from San Francisco to the Sierra Nevada will experience overcast and wet conditions, with notable rain in the Central Valley. Be cautious of slippery roads and reduced visibility. Meanwhile, southern parts like Los Angeles will encounter more mild weather with possible scattered showers. Anticipate cooler temperatures along the coast, while the desert southwest remains largely dry and warm.”
Saturday in Los Angeles features a UV index of 7, presenting a high sun exposure risk with a burn time of just 20 minutes in direct sunlight. Sunday sees a slight decrease to a UV index of 6, yet the sun remains quite intense, with a burn time of approximately 23 minutes.
