A quiet pattern dominates much of the Southwest, with mainly dry conditions persisting. Redding and San Francisco are experiencing clear skies, providing a break from any precipitation. Light rain showers are present near Salt Lake City, with the possibility of spreading into Ely soon. Las Vegas and Phoenix remain dry under clear skies, making for a pleasant day in the desert.
For this evening in Los Angeles, anticipate mostly sunny skies with mild temperatures. At 9 PM, temperatures will be around 72 degrees, accompanied by a gentle south wind at 7 mph. By 11 PM, temperatures will dip to 66 degrees with winds shifting slightly to the south at 5 mph, and skies remain mostly sunny. As midnight approaches, the temperature will further cool to 64 degrees, with a light south-southeast breeze at 4 mph and mostly clear skies.
Tonight, Las Vegas will see a low of 59 degrees, while Phoenix remains much warmer at 82 degrees. In contrast, Flagstaff is set to drop to 49 degrees, marking a chilly night for the high country. Farther west, San Francisco will cool to 52 degrees, and Los Angeles can expect a low of 60.
Tomorrow, Phoenix will soar to a blistering 108 degrees, well above average for this time of year. Las Vegas isn’t far behind, with a forecast high of 106 degrees. Bakersfield will reach a hot 97 degrees, while Fresno sees a high of 95. San Diego remains cooler at 73 degrees, providing a mild contrast to the inland heatwave.
