A storm system is advancing from the Pacific Ocean, bringing rain showers to the northern California coastline, including Redding. As the system moves eastward, Reno is seeing light precipitation and cloud cover, while nearby mountain areas experience some mixed precipitation. Ely is witnessing snow showers as clouds cover much of that region. Central California cities such as Fresno and Bakersfield remain dry but under increasing cloudiness.
