Rain showers are primarily concentrated around Las Vegas, moving eastward, providing some relief in this typically dry area. Ely is witnessing scattered rain showers as well. Clear skies dominate the California coastline, from San Francisco down to San Diego, keeping these areas dry and sunny. The higher terrains near Salt Lake City and Flagstaff remain untouched by precipitation, maintaining clear conditions.
In Los Angeles this afternoon, temperatures will start at 81 degrees around 4 PM with a partly cloudy sky. By 6 PM, temperatures will adjust slightly to 80 degrees with mostly cloudy conditions. A consistent breeze coming from the south-southwest at 7 to 9 miles per hour will accompany the cooling trend. By 8 PM, expect temperatures to dip to 76 degrees under a mostly cloudy sky.
Las Vegas is expecting a sizzling high of 106 degrees, while nearby Phoenix will reach 101. Bakersfield is also feeling the heat with a high of 106, while Fresno is not far behind at 105. San Diego will provide a bit of relief with a milder high of 80 degrees. Flagstaff stands out at 82 degrees, showcasing some cooler temperatures in contrast to the hot spots around.
